This safari is perfectly suited for beginners: our experienced guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to handle the snowmobile, and the basics are easy to learn. Once you get the hang of driving, you can look forward to a fun and safe journey through beautiful winter nature.
These are guaranteed public departures, meaning any individual traveler can sign up. There will be other participants as well—it is a great way to meet new people while sharing a unique experience!
We follow an easy, beginner-friendly route while enjoying the snowy outdoors. During the break, we stop by a campfire to relax and enjoy high-quality snacks.

- The safari follows beginner-friendly routes through Tahko’s snowy forest terrain, onto the ice of Lake Syväri, and to an atmospheric rest stop.

Participation at Own Risk
- I understand that snowmobiling involves risks related to nature, weather conditions, and the use of motor vehicles. I accept that I am participating in the safari at my own risk.
Compliance with Safety Instructions
- I agree to follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the guide throughout the safari. I understand that failure to follow instructions may cause dangerous situations and may result in the termination of my ride.
Sobriety
- I confirm that I am not under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. Tahko Safaris reserves the right to deny participation if intoxication is suspected.
Driver Responsibility and License
- As a driver, I confirm that I hold at least a valid T-class driver’s license and that I am capable of operating a snowmobile safely.
Health Conditions
- I have disclosed any relevant health conditions and confirmed that nothing prevents my safe participation in the activity.
Equipment and Gear
- I agree to use the safety equipment provided by Tahko Safaris properly and to take good care of it.
Damage to Property and Equipment
- I understand that for damages caused by my own actions, the deductible is up to €1,500 per snowmobile.
Emergencies and Outdoor Conditions
- I understand that route changes or cancellation of the safari may be necessary due to safety concerns, weather conditions, or official regulations. I accept that the guide has the final decision in such cases.
Photography and Use of Marketing Materials
- I consent to photographs or video footage taken of me during the safari being used for Tahko Safaris’ marketing purposes, unless I notify otherwise in writing before the safari begins.

Can I take photos during the safari?

- While driving, both hands must remain on the handlebars.
